For over half a century, Catlettsburg has come alive each Labor Day with a parade and a weekend of festivities that celebrate our people, our past, and our promise for tomorrow. Since the mid-1960s, this gathering has become a beloved tradition, starting as a parade honoring working men and women, evolving into full community involvement with music, vendors, family events, and more.

The parade kicks off in the morning and winds through familiar streets, past cheering neighbors. Former residents return, friendships are renewed, and generations stand side-by-side. It’s more than just an event, it’s a reunion rooted in pride.

Every year, Catlettsburg’s Labor Day Celebration reminds us who we are: a community resilient through time, proud of our heritage, and excited for what comes next.
