The City of Catlettsburg complies with the Kentucky Open Records Act (KRS 61.870–61.884), which ensures public access to government records. This law gives citizens the right to inspect and obtain copies of most public records maintained by state and local government agencies, with certain exceptions for records that are confidential by law. Requests for records must be submitted in writing and will be responded to within five business days, as required by state statute.
