Pauline S. Hunt Recreational Grounds
Located at the intersection of Louisa Street and 31st Street in Catlettsburg, KY.
Located on Oakland Avenue, Pauline S. Hunt Park is a favorite gathering place for families and the community. The park features a full basketball court, a charming gazebo often used for weddings, celebrations, and memorable photo sessions, as well as playground equipment including swings and a teeter totter for children to enjoy. Visitors can also take a leisurely stroll along the nearby floodwall, where colorful murals bring Catlettsburg’s history and heritage to life.
Baily Rucker Court Dedication
September 1, 2025: The basketball court at Pauline S. Hunt Park was dedicated to Bailey Rucker, a standout basketball player from Boyd County High School. Bailey continued her basketball career at Centre College racking up numerous awards along the way.

Catlettsburg City Park
Located at 3739 Park Street in Catlettsburg, KY.
Located at the end of Park Street, the Catlettsburg City Park Athletic Complex is home to the Catlettsburg Little League and serves as a hub for local sports and recreation. The complex features multiple ballfields, new playground, a large paved walking path, a full basketball court, brand new playground equipment, and open green space. The Catlettsburg City Park is a gathering place for practices, games, and community events. Whether you’re cheering from the stands or enjoying time outdoors, the complex is a proud part of Catlettsburg’s tradition of youth athletics and community spirit. 2025 marked the 75th year for the Boyd County - Catlettsburg Little League.
*The baseball fields at this park are currently closed and undergoing a major lighting upgrade. The fields will remain closed until the project is completed.
Akers Park

Akers Park, named for Jell Akers, is a welcoming neighborhood green space in Catlettsburg, KY, offering families and residents a place to relax, play, and enjoy the outdoors. With open areas for recreation, new picnic tables, new playground equipment, and new basketball goals the park serves as a favorite spot for casual gatherings and family-friendly play.
